Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer remote services (via Zoom) and therefore can service clients nationwide. In-person coaching may be an option for clients in the Capital District, New York area. Typically sessions are an hour length and occur weekly.

  • An intake session is a structured, in-depth conversation, in which I learn about you: Your strengths, your vision for yourself, and what challenges you are currently facing. My goal in this intake session is for us both to get a sense of what it would be like to work together.

Please note that taking part in an intake session does not commit either of us to continuing on to a coaching contract. We may decide afterwards that we are not a good fit, or that the timing is wrong to enter into a coaching relationship.

  • If we agree that we are a good fit and that I am a good person to assist you with your goals, the next step is a coaching contract. A coaching contract is a mutually agreed upon number of sessions and fee structure. I usually recommend 8 sessions minimum, but these can be renewed or extended as needed.

  • I respect my clients’ right to autonomy, self-determination, and privacy. You determine if, when, and to whom information may be shared. Parents, if I am working with your teen or adult offspring, please note that the amount and types of information I share with you, is likely to be controlled by their preferences.

  • That is pretty much up to the client! Some clients have very specific, targeted goals and contract for a minimum number of sessions. Other clients engage in an on-going supportive relationship that may continue over several years as initial goals are accomplished and new goals emerge.

  • Generally my hours are:

    Monday - Thursday: 9 AM - 8 PM (Eastern)

    Friday & Saturday: 9 AM - 5 PM (Eastern)

  • $120 per 60-minute coaching session

$190 for the initial 90-minute intake session

  • Unfortunately, no. Coaching services are not considered a medical expense, and so my services are private-pay only. However, some clients with disabilities have received reimbursement for coaching expenses through Self-Direction, an optional pathway within the Medicaid Home and Community Waiver (in NY State, this is managed by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities).

If you are interested in this, I may be able to help work with you to get you set up with those services.
